For this project, you will be looking at getting better at creative exploration with clay and vessels.

Start by exploring the process of making a pinch pot. Fail a couple times and get better at it.

Find 5 inspiration images, pick one to try for with your pinch pot. Using that image make a pinch pot. The requirements are:

• Create a pinch pot that is smooth and has even walls. Attention should be given to a finished, even lip. Any attached pieces should be slipped, scored and securely attached. 

• Creative risk should be taken. A simple pinch pot that is well constructed is a beautiful vessel. Once you do this, consider adding elements that are totally their own. Texture can be applied, pieces can be attached, designs can be carved, etc. In order to earn full points for creativity a creative effort must be evident.

• You will have a few days to finish your pinch pot. It should be evident that you used most of these work days to create your work.
