For this project, you will be looking at getting better at creative exploration and visual communication by exploring the world of comics.

Start by exploring the process by learning about various comic artist. Pick 1 comic that you enjoy to share with someone else.

Next you will be brainstorming ideas of things that you could make your own comic about.

Step 1: Watch through the video above and look at the presentation below.

Step 2: Use your sketchbook to come up with a few characters to put into your comic.

Step 3: Come up with a story from your life that is humorous or unique and something you would want to share.

Step 4: Sketch out your design in your sketchbook. Once you get the lines right make sure you only include the important information.

Step 5: Pen out your comic making it look really clean and erase the pencil marks.

Step 6 When your comic is complete turn it in. This could be colored or left just with pen marks.

Your comic will be graded on the following.

Craftsmanship: You penciled out your figures neatly and made things look well done. Then you used a pen to finish it off.
Creativity: Your idea is unique and shows thoughtfulness.
Production/Effort: You care.
Work Habits/Attitude: Be sure to ask questions about the process when they arise. Clean up your area well each day.
